Advance to fishing level 25 and get your first reward by King Terryn. Once you meet the requirements, find Jonas in Yafmel for more details.

The following section contains gameplay spoilers!

If you keep fishing until level 25, you will receive a letter from King Terryn and a Bronze fishing trophy. Talk to him to receive a Water nymph and join the fishing challenge. Every time you reach a new level requirement for better fishing gear, you can travel to Yafmel and ask Jonas for new fishing equipment. Jonas will also gift you a few Dragonfly, along with the new gear.

Upon reaching fishing level 50, you will also receive a Silver fishing trophy.
After level 50 you won't unlock new fishing gear, but you will receive a Golden fishing trophy after reaching fishing level 75.
